These earrings are a love letter to my favorite philly treat: the soft pretzel. A true philly soft pretzel (and arguable the one true soft pretzel, period) is not shaped like 🥨 . This is the real (philly) deal.
The pretzels are made of bronze, with sterling silver salt bits, each added individually. No two pretzels are exactly alike, so these earrings are delightfully slightly mismatched. Each pretzel measures about one inch in length.

bronze is a gorgeous, warm yellow metal with deep, ancient roots in jewelry-making. It will naturally patina over time (as will sterling silver!), and you can keep it clean with a silver polishing cloth or allow it to change over time. The piece has been finished with renaissance wax, an archival finishing material that slows patination. You can re-wax the piece a few times a year to keep it sealed (buy the tiniest jar you can, a teeny tiny bit of wax goes a long way!)
